It is rumored that the village was founded in 1390 by efe and his daughters named Kara Halil, who came from Saruhan Principality. It is 30 km away from Tekirdag city center. The economy of a village is based on agriculture and husbandry. There is a primary school in the village, but besides it cannot be used, transported education is used. The village has a drinking water network, the water is extracted from a source within the borders of the village, stored and delivered to the houses from there, but there is no sewerage network. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There are no health centers and health posts. Both roads that provide access to the village are asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village.  The population in 2019 was 96 people.
